Charleston PD searching for missing James Island man

Mark Stephen Scott is missing from 300 block of Howle Avenue on James Island.

According to spokesman Roger Antonio, he texted an acquaintance to advise her that his vehicle and dog were at the 2000 block of South Dallerton cir. In West Ashley.

The report states that his wallet was also left at the residence. He left by an unknown mode of transportation.

"Mark Stephen Scott, 52, was last seen on May 31, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Capt. Roger Antonio.
His last date of communication was on Friday, deputies say.
He is missing from his home in the 300 block of Howle Avenue on James Island.
Antonio says he last texted an acquaintance to tell her his vehicle and dog were at an address in the 2200 block of South Dallerton Circle in West Ashley. Deputies say his wallet was also left at the home.
It's not clear what vehicle he may have used when he left the home.
He was last known to be wearing a gray shirt, khaki shorts and brown "crocks." He is 5-foot-8 and weighs 170 pounds."

Human remains found near Savannah Hwy identified as man missing since last June

Dispatch on Friday received reports that a citizen had found a body in a wooded area near the U.S. Vegetable Laboratory on Savannah Highway sometime before 5:30 p.m.

Sad that he was found less than 2 miles from where he left his car and dog.
