SC - Paul Murdaugh & mom Margaret Found Shot To Death - Alex Murdaugh Accused - Islandton *Guilty* #44

"Alex has apparently not seen the series but has heard about it and says what viewers are watching is untrue, according to the statement."

"The depiction of their personal family dynamics is particularly troubling, as it totally mischaracterizes Alex's relationships with his wife Maggie and his son Paul, both of whom Alex loves so dearly," the statement reads."

He shows his love by shooting them in cold blood....🙄

Yes and instead of a quick death he tortured Maggie, probably screaming at her the entire time he was repeatedly shooting her.

Murdaugh's defense team claims, “No one from Hulu ever reached out to Alex... to verify the facts."

Lol!! You are kidding right?!!! 🤣

The whole trial was about Alex being a liar, thief, deceptive, dishonest, and deceitful. His credibility in anything he has to say is gone. Why would anyone reach out to AM to verify facts.
😂😅🤣😂😅🤣

Hey, Alec, go sip a Capri Sun and sit the hell down.

Sorry you don't have any Capri Suns though.

Sorry, not sorry.

Speaking of Capri Suns, I'm reminded that the morning of the murders iirc that Maggie and Blanca were working in tandem to track down toddler drinks for the super-sized toddler. Acts of service.... and that is how he thanked them. Murdering his wife and son.... who he loved so much. As if.

AM loves only one person. Almost as much as he loves taking other people's money.

He is just unconscionable, everything about him.

That's the exact phrase that jumped off the page for me as well ... "both of whom Alex loves so dearly."

That should be "loved" not loves. They were slowly shot to death by Alex - the loving father and husband. Alex knows how to take a clean shot from a distance of 3-10 feet, but Paul was forced to know that his father was going to blow his brains out, and the same with Maggie. She suffered longer. The seven gunshots, start to finish, lasted up to 5 minutes.

If that's how he treats people he loved, everyone else better watch out.

Alex was not proud of Paul. He stated (to Maggie's sister) that he planned to murder him 6 months before he blew Paul's brain out of the top of his head. Alex was only proud of the son whom he believed would carry on his legal legacy, but that son cheated and failed his classes. Buster is not a lawyer today.

"Alex was always extremely proud of Paul. Any other portrayal of his feelings toward Paul and Maggie are baseless and false. Equally concerning is the lack of engagement by the producers or actors to understand the individuals portrayed."

Well Alex, actions speak louder than words. You shot your wife several times and blew your son’s brains out of his skull. These are people you love so much? I hope Maggie and Paul haunt his dreams every night.

If this is how Alex treats the people he loves, imagine what he had planned for the people he didn’t like.

Did anyone ask? Or care? Sit down, Counselor.
Lawyer Dick H. is not happy with the portrayal of himself lol

Listened to an interview with him on Law and Crime (for about a minute) anyway he’s mad they portrayed him as a “Rooster Cogburn character”lol.

The giggle I got from that was worth the minute.

Pootie-Poot

I think the actor who portrayed him bore a strong resemblance to him.

I waited til 5 minutes after 12am so I could watch episode 6.

Well, I just watched it...

I guess, I never thought of her holding up her left hand like that.

And she didn't take 2 shots to the head.

I actually felt for Paul in this episode...

Such a sad episode...
😮‍💨😪😢

IIRC, wasn’t the shot to the top of her head as she was either falling or already laying on the ground? He must have been standing in front of her at that point. Very sad. He’s such a monster.

I was disappointed with how the shooting is portrayed. Because of this Hulu dramatization series, I recently listened to a lot of testimony to better understand the number of gunshots, and the timing. The portrayal omits the cruelty that Alex inflicted on Maggie.

The portrayal of the two shots to kill Paul were accurate. There was one shot to the shoulder, he stumbled to the door of the feed room. He was looking down, to his left, and in the direction of the shooter - based on angle of bullet through his shoulder and head - and he was then shot a second time. He brain was blown out of the top-back of his head. There were bits of brain on the top of the door. The rest of his brain fell on the ground. Paul knew that his father shot him before he died.

Maggie's death was different than portrayed. She was walking/ running (?) towards the feed room. While she was less than 3 feet from Alex, she was shot in the leg. From the same distance, she was shot through the torso - hitting her kidney. She doubled over in pain and most likely fell to her knees. Alex then walked around behind her and shot her - probably in a kneeling position. That shot was from under her torso, through her breast, and into her head. When she was flat on the ground, Alex walked around in front of her again, and shot her in the back of the head (into her neck/ shoulder area). It's speculated that the shot through her hand/ wrist happened when she was doubled over, although it could have been the first shot. Alex circled her as he shot her 4-5 times.

In the dramatization, it is portrayed as rapid shots. Phone time-lines show a 5 minute gap between phone use, phone movement, and phone immobility, suggesting that the 6-7 shots occurred over a period of up to 5 minutes.

I'm not sure which direction Alex walked (to Maggie's right or left), but this is the order of shots.

Yes, I was very disappointed with how they handled Maggie.

After researching last night about Kenny Kinsey and more forensic testimony, I am now determined that his first shot to her was her leg, which caused her to back away from the shooter and knocked into the ATV backwards.

There was that pattern of the wheel on her back thigh AND the wheel had her biological matter on it.

From there I think she moved out from under that awning and tried to get away. Then at that point was shot just as you said.

When there is 33 minutes left on this link Kinsey breaks it down so detailed.

Thanks! That's one of the videos I watched. He explains it very well, as does the forensic pathologist (autopsy). They agree in their theories of order of shots and activity as Maggie was shot.

I think it's funny Alex/Harpootlian didn't say anything about Amazon's Prime Video of Murdaugh Murders: The Movie-Part 1 & 2.
They had more of Maggie right. But Paul was done wrong.
But they sure covered Alex pretty thoroughly.
