<<Hale Sehorn was last seen about December 8th playing his guitar on the 41-foot boat, "Miss Essie," where he lived. Rick Sehorn says his son suffered a seizure in the weeks before his disappearance and was scheduled for a doctor's appointment on December 11th.That's when family members first reported him missing>>

According to the article:

"Rick Sehorn says his son suffered a seizure in the weeks before his disappearance and was scheduled for a doctor's appointment on December 11th... Georgetown County Sheriff's spokesman Neil Johnson says deputies have no reason to think Sehorn is a victim of foul play."

This sounds to me like maybe Richard had a seizure while on the boat and consequently fell into the water. Could the current have carried him out into Winyah Bay and eventually out to the ocean?
