Diane Jane Bartling, 66, was last seen in Sioux Falls at 1 p.m. Sunday. Bartling's car and personal effects have been located near the Meridian Bridge in Yankton.

Yankton police say the search for a missing woman will continue Thursday after finding nothing on Wednesday.

Yankton Dive and Rescue and South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks searched the river near the bridge for 4 hours on Wednesday, a release said, finding nothing.
The search will continue on Thursday morning, with the help of Nebraska Game and Parks.
If results continue to be negative, the release said that the department "will be looking at other resources for searching next week."

I worry for her safety if she has been out in the elements. Our temperatures in the state have been 20-30 degrees below normal with rain, ice and snow since she went missing

They say it is now a recovery effort at this time. They are suspending the search of the water at this time and will continue searching the shorelines. They will re-evaluate their search plans as to how they will continue.
