"
Today marks 7 years since you left and you didn't come back ," said the heartbroken father of Barbara Vitez, who disappeared on November 25, 2016 in Senta, when she was only 15 years old.
It has been 7 years since her disappearance , and there are still no concrete clues that would lead to the solution of this mystery. A few months ago, the investigation led to the Tisza river , but unfortunately, without new information. Some clues indicated that she was in Hungary, but if so, it is not known whether she went there alone or against her will.
If she is still alive, she would have turned 22 in August.
- Today is exactly 7 years since you went to your birthday, and you didn't come home. We just wait and wait for you - shared her father, Endre Vitez, on the anniversary of her disappearance.
(snip)
We remind you, Barbara was last seen on the evening of November 25, 2016 , and two of her friends, who were returning with her from a birthday party, claimed that she fell from the bridge in Tisza that fateful evening.
On the other hand, the parents claimed that it was impossible because Barbara was afraid of heights. They also expressed their suspicion that their daughter had been kidnapped.
- She was last seen on November 25, 2016, in a store in Senta, when the cameras recorded her, and that was at 9:41 p.m. The video does not show whether our daughter went to the bridge with those two boys or to the other side - said Endre Vitez, Barbara's father, at the time.
Just a few days after the girl's disappearance, Barbara's parents
received a letter at their home address stating that Barbara was beaten, raped, killed and finally thrown from the bridge in Tisza. However, the river was then searched by members of the Serbian and Hungarian diving police community, but the body was not found.
Since Barbara's disappearance, the Vitez family has only been followed by misfortune. Barbara's brother Atila suffered from autism and epilepsy and died on March 5, 2019, when he was 25 years old. He developed a high fever and, unfortunately, did not recover from the coma. A few months later, Melinda's (Barbara's mother) father died, and soon after, Endre's (Barbara's father) mother died too.
Interpol was also informed about Barbara's disappearance, which still has no epilogue. Namely, since March 2018, her name and surname with a photo have been on the so-called yellow warrant, that is, on the list of missing persons who are wanted.
Even that, however, did not yield results.
