I found the case of Sherry Sheperd on Project Cold Case a few months back and keep thinking of her case. I believe it might be connected to the Elkton FL disappearance of Martha J. Lambert. They went missing from the same County and only 9 minutes away from each other. Sherry disappeared after leaving her house to go for a swim on August 2nd 1983. Her skeletal remains were found in a shallow grave some years later.

Whne I found Sherry’s murder case, I immediately thought about Martha due to the distance and the fact that they were two 12 year old girls who disappeared from relatively rural areas of Northeastern FL approximately 2 years apart from each other.

I have been trying to find more out about Sherry’s case but there doesn’t seem to be any old newspapers about her disappearance from 1983 and the only place I can find her case is on Project Cold Case. It’s not even stated when her remains were found and where. I haven’t been able to find her on the St. John’s County Unsolved Homicide Page.
