According to the sheriff’s office, Sheryl Parker, who was better known as Sherry, was 41 when she disappeared 24 years ago. The Fort Collins resident was last seen alive the night of July 17, 1996, when she checked into the Budget Host Motel in Del Camino.

Sherry Parker Murder: Investigators Taking New Look At 1996 Cold Case
''Sherry’s husband, Glenn Edward “Ed” Parker was the main suspect in the investigation. The sheriff’s office says he hired an attorney immediately after his wife’s body was found and has refused to be interviewed by law enforcement about her death.''

''Investigators say Ed lives in unincorporated Weld County and is now married to one of Sherry’s close friends.''

“Due to a lack of cooperation by Ed, investigators are hopeful someone who knew the couple 24 years ago might know or remember something and come forward with new information,” the sheriff’s office stated.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is asked to call the Weld County Sheriff’s Office at (970) 356-4015 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). ''

A Colorado woman is pressing for answers in her mother's brutal murder, 24 years later
''Now, a new and experienced detective is reviewing the cold case hoping to bring the family closure.''

''Michelle Diller was 15 years old when her mother was murdered. She says the family she had quickly fell apart. Through tears, she told Denver7 her mom lived for her and her older sister.
"She would have been a good grandma, but she never gets that chance now," Diller said.''
''Diller claims her father was in a relationship with her mother's best friend while married to her mother and began to openly date her just months after her mom was murdered. The couple married about year later.
Glenn moved in with his new wife and Diller says she moved in with her older sister.''

Thanks for the link!

''He also began to look into Sheryl Parker's murder after getting a call from her daughter, Michelle Diller. The mother of two was found dead in the St. Vrain Creek in Del Camino. The coroner's office determined she died of blunt force trauma.
Diller continues to seek justice 24 years later.

"It just actually kind of gets worse because I've had kids now, and they don't have a grandma now," Diller said.''

The next day, she was reported missing by her husband Ed Parker in Fort Collins. He claimed his wife left their residence the previous evening after an argument.
Investigators later learned Sherry Parker, 41, had checked into the hotel so she could separate herself from her husband, who she had planned on divorcing. On July 23, 1996, Ed Parker and his brother called the Weld County Sheriff’s Office to report they found Sherry’s car in a motel parking lot. A deputy confirmed that she had registered at the motel using her credit card. ''

''WCSO is urging anyone with information on the case or circumstances of Sherry Parker's death to contact Detective Kastilahn at 970-400-2827.
Tips can also be submitted to Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or through the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers Facebook page. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward.''
