Should the judge approve gag order?

Im conflicted.

Part of me wants them to toss the gag order....for the sheer purpose of learning more about this twisted and sick case.

But, rationally, a gag would probably be in the best interest of everyone involved.....I think the wacked out media coverage is causing the majority of the "circus" we keep hearing about.

I think it is far too late for the gag order. It should have been ordered ages ago or not at all.

Plus, it really ticked me off in the Laci case when everyone obeyed it EXCEPT the Ps and then no one was allowed to rebut their ridiculous claims. I can easily see that happening here.

I agree 100%, angelmom. Too little, too late. A gag order will not do any good now, and yes, I too can see the A's breaking it, and the only new info out there being something positive for them. That would really suck.

Yes, absolutely, a gag order should be imposed. At the time it is effected, it should be clearly stated that anyone who breaks it will be held in contempt of court and prosecuted. The A's need to stop influencing the potential jury pool with their outright lies. I've noticed that JB is not doing as much media lately.

I voted, I wasn't sure.. :crazy: I really don't think they are harming the case by talking, and I think they have a right to talk, but sometimes I just wish they would STFU, and since they won't, GAG EM. Yes, the gag order should be imposed. If the Anthonys speak out before a gag is imposed, though, I do hope the judge allows time for LE to rebut what they can before slapping the gag on everyone. I don't really mind that Cindy hurts Casey's defense with the things she says -- far from it -- but I do feel that for her own sake, someone needs to take control away from her. It might drive her crazy (or crazier), but it's really the best thing for her own sake, IMO.

I would love to see Cindy be able to get to a point that she feels she's done all she can and just breathes a huge sigh and begins the process of dealing with all that's happened. I can't even imagine what kind of relief and weight it would be off her shoulders if she were able to say to the public, "My Caylee is gone...she isn't ever coming home. Please help me." I bet even her most vocal critics would rally to support and comfort her, if she'd just allow the truth to be what it is and let everyone help her through this.

She pisses me off to no end at times, but I still feel sorry for her for the position she's in. I see her as being very near the end of her rope, and I really believe she's going to have a total breakdown soon if something doesn't give.

I voted no because I don't think it's necessary at this point.
I don't think the flow of information or the exercise of First Amendment rights threatens to compromise the case. I also think that more talking= more information= more potential to reach the truth.

If they impose consequences on CA if she can't keep her trap shut then yes, go for the gag order. But if everyone else obeys it and she doesn't then it is harmful. And I seriously fear that's what would happen.
