MADRID (AP) — John McAfee, the creator of the McAfee antivirus software, has been found dead in his cell in a jail near Barcelona, a government official told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Authorities said the cause of death was being investigated.

Hours earlier, a Spanish court issued a preliminary ruling in favor of the 75-year-old tycoon’s extradition to the United States to face tax-related criminal charges that could carry decades in prison.

I have never been able to shake the feeling that he was involved in his neighbor's murder. I believe that John had several dogs that barked day and night. Nothing was ever done. One day they were poisoned. The next day the neighbor was murdered.

This one's going to have almost as many conspiracy theory angles as Epstein. John lived his life out of bounds.

I'm more inclined to believe that Epstein's death was not a suicide given the unusual set of circumstances surrounding his death; i.e., the cameras not working and the guards falling asleep. BTW - The guard got nothing more than a slap on the wrist, IMO. Go figure.

I lean towards McAfee's death being a suicide even though he said that he would never commit suicide. That being said, I don't understand why he would kill himself. Wouldn't he go to a federal prison and be housed with other white collar criminals?
