Isak Andic, founder of fashion brand Mango, died in December 2024 following an accident in the Montserrat mountains in Spain.

According to UK publication The Times, Andic had been hiking with his eldest son, Jonathan, when he fell over 320 feet. They had reportedly been walking along a popular hiking route when the incident took place. The publication reports that Jonathan had been walking ahead when he heard stones falling and turned to see his father had fallen off a cliff.

Although initially ruled an accident, Spanish outlet El Periódico now reports that a judicial review is set to take place, over inconsistencies in Jonathan's version of events.

This is a Spanish article that is easily translated with GT.

From what I understand, there are two reasons to reopen the case: - some inconsistency between the son's report and the position of the body (here, without details)

(The declaration of the son is at variance with the inspection on the ground - no more details).

Another fact (in the first article) has to do with information provided by Estefanía Knuth (Stephanie Knuth), a professional golfer and a close (new?) friend of the deceased billionaire. Something about bad relationships between the father and the son triggered by her. It is in the first article linked.

About Andic

He was a gifted man of high standing and, as it seems, his three children were from the same wife. Jonathan was the oldest. There was a will with everything carefully spelled. By the time of his death, Isak stepped off his role in Mango, the son was the VP and everything was goung according to the plan. There is no evidence of the homicide. Make your conclusions.

Estephania Knuth has described "strained relationship between the father and the son."

However: Estephania Knuth and Isak Andic have been together for six years and Knuth now has filed a financial claim against his estate. She demands approximately 80 mln dollars.

From this, it would seem logical to think that she was not in the official, carefully prepared, will, right? She might have received gifts, property, but nothing from the empire... At the same time, six years is the time indicating that the relationship is becoming "solid". If Andic died at the end of December, she might have not known about the contents of the will until six months later. So in a way, it makes sense that the "new sources" emerged now.

What Jonathan said happened:

It sounds like the family is supportive of the son ?

seems so from their statement:

Andic’s family released a statement to the Spanish media, saying: “The Andic family has not commented, and will not comment on Isak Andic’s death”.

“It wishes to show respect for the ongoing proceedings and will continue cooperating fully with the authorities.

“The family is confident that this process will soon end and that Jonathan Andic’s innocence will be proven.”

The plot thickens. Apparently, the relationship between the son and the father were normal until Paula Nata, the wife of Jonathan, entered the scene.

I also met article mentioning someone taping the conversation of Andic’s children, but need to look for the original.
