St Helens, Cheshire, UK, elderly couple murdered in arson. 15/7/25

77 year old Peter Greener & his partner 83 year old Sheila Jackson were taken to hospital on the above date following an arson attack on their South John Street home. Peter died in hospital the following day & Sheila the day after.
A murder investigation is underway.

A 46-year-old man from Fazakerley remains in custody after he was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday.

A 31-year-old man from St Helenes was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of murder and was conditionally bailed after questioning.
