Stanislaw Cichocki was a famous criminal and bank robber in Poland. In 1902, at the age of 17, he participated in his first bank robbery in Berlin. One of Cichocki's most spectacular actions at that time was the tunnelling under the vault of the Asian Bank in Rostov. He was arrested, but he escaped deportation to Siberia by working for the Tsarist police. For them, he broke into houses to steal documents. In 1920, he arrived in Poland, and a year later, he was tried for a planned robbery of the Industrial Bank in Warsaw.
Aftewards, he briefly retired from bank robberies. Instead, he served as a consultant to other robbers, he frequented Warsaw's artistic circles, primarily cabaret and theatre, and he ran his own cabaret. However, Cichocki returned to committing bank robberies, and he was probably involved in the robbery of the Discount Bank in Warsaw in 1926. In 1927, Cichocki robbed the State Graphic Works in Warsaw, digging a tunnel several dozen meters long to the vault. Although he was arrested and imprisoned, he was later released due to a lack of evidence. In 1930, Cichocki was arrested and sent to prison for planning a bank robbery in Częstochowa. However, he escaped prison by bribing some guards. Shortly after his escape, he robbed the Cooperative Credit Bank in Pabainice, but was arrested again in 1932. He was released in April 1936 but, on 28th February 1937, he was arrested again for attempting to rob a bank in Zgierz. Later that year, he robbed the Credit Bank in Warsaw. He was arrested again and sentenced to four years in prison.
He died on 2nd November 1940 in Pruszków.
Here is the only English-language source I could find on him. I hope that will be enough.
