well the states policy is aimed at protecting the survivors privacy. after all why worry about those that are already dead. lets just ignore the fact that this policy protects everyone who allowed the child to suffer abuse to the point of death. :furious:

Report flunks Vermont for lack of transparency on child abuse

MONTPELIER -- Vermont and nine other states earned F's in a report examining how forthcoming states are in releasing information about their roles in cases of severe child abuse.

The report, "State Secrecy and Child Deaths in the U.S.," says most states don't release adequate information about fatal and life-threatening child abuse cases because of policies that put confidentiality above child welfare.

vermontn03,

Thank you for posting this. Looks like Pennsylvania is right along side of you:banghead: .
How many times have we heard "Something needs to change to protect our children."? It looks like several states are in dire need of changes. Mine being one of the 9 that received an 'F'.

Thank you again, vermontn03

OT - What you and dark_shadows have done and are doing for Nick's family is exemplary:clap:

"In addition to Vermont, the states that flunked were Georgia, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah."

Being from Tennessee, I can honestly say I am sooo not shocked by this.
