Steve Wright & the murder of Karen Hales

Does anyone know if Suffolk Strangler Steve Wright was ever a suspect in the Karen Hales murder case? And if so did he have an alibi/was he eliminated? He lived in Suffolk at that time, he had a moustache & looked alarmingly like the e-fit of one of the suspects:

I don't believe he was a suspect, the MO was completely different. It still is a possibility but it's a dramatic change from stabbing/arson to strangling prostitutes. You might find this link useful? Karen Hales

Thankyou for the link. Maybe he changed his MO for some reason? Not all killers use the same routine on every victim?
