in Taiwan a few years ago a mother a daughter dressed in a red coat got on an elivator in a building housing finances and disappeared having removed their coats and shoes. Cameras caught her on the elevator but after removing her clothing proceeded to 11th floor and vanished. Police searched for 1 week and came up with nothing although many things leading up to this has many reasons for happening as in bad marriage abusive husband etc...but the fact she was in red and so was Elisa Lamb was made mentioned that wearing red at night is very bad and dangerous...this should not apply in the Cecil Hotel as it is not in Asia but but but if this is an Asian belief that could hold water here then I would be inclined to do a bit more reading on the topic. This should round up a few groans but should anyone know of this and can further enlighten me I would surely appreciate it

It sounds somewhat like the plot of the 2003 South Korean film, "Memories of Murder", which was based on a then unsolved series of murders where the victims wore red. The case was eventually solved years later and Lee Choon Jae was sentenced to death; however, that was later changed to life in prison.
