TAMPA - The day after Hillsborough County approved a similar proposal, the Tampa City Council voted unanimously today to restrict where sexual offenders and predators may loiter.
The citys child protection zones prohibit sexual offenders from being present, loitering or prowling within 300 feet of a school, day care center, park, playground, school bus stop when children are present or library.
They also wont be allowed within 300 feet of YMCAs, zoos, swimming pools and other places where children regularly congregate.
