Maybe she kept it to pawn at a later date for $$$. Also she could have kept it because she was going into unfamiliar territory. The garmin has some nice features "points of interest" which you can look up restaurants, fuel, transit, lodging, shopping, banks, hospitals, etc... quite easily. I have one and I'm going to plug in a couple of the addresses where we know she has been and look at the "points of interest".

Do you know if they run on regular batteries, or if they have a charger for the home? Mine only has one for the vehicle. Thanks!

ETA: they do have chargers for the home, but they don't use regular batteries.

You can get a charger for the home. Mine did not come with one, just for the car. Mine is charged up though and running on batteries now in the house. I tried to plug addresses in to get nearby "points of interest" but it will only let me plug in the city. The bus company that EJ used does not come up on my garmin at all when searching transit.

Well I was so beside myself, if you will, on the route the bus took. So I made a phone call. I thought,the route might bring them through my area of the country. It does not. So it shot my theory.Well still not completely. However, I did learn something of where they do stop. They stop for fuel and food....if someone needs to get off they MAY stop at a competing bus line or designated mexican/hispanic store drop off....

Well, I didn't..I was a scardy cat if you will. 55 and scared...I wish my cholesterol was that!...having said that... I did not take it form SA to FL. I took it from another surrounding city to another city close to a point of drop off...I didn't want the line to think I was fishing and try to connect it to this case. But I felt the city to city destination was really very close. Best I could gather and understand, there are no designated stops....I believe they shut that right hand door, of a bus, and hammer down....and stop where need necessities or requested by a passenger.

I'm wondering why this bus company? Someone had to have told her to use this bus company. It is out of the way, does not pop up on the gps and not to easy to find on the internet. Seems like someone wanted her departure with a bus company that maybe doesn't do a whole lot of checking? Just my guess, unless this bus company is known in TX. Maybe this bus company may have been advertised in the hotel where she was staying or she looked up http://www.busrates.com//? It just doen't seem like a company she would chose on her own.
