Description:
Winkens disappeared after attending the St. Rosa Fair in Sittard on September 2, 1975. The moped she was driving at the time was found abandoned the next day in a ditch between Spaubeek and Schimmert. Her keys were also located nearby. Tire tracks discovered near the moped indicated that she was possibly run off the road.
Winkens' helmet, jacket, and a part of her shoe were later located 70 kilometres north, between Reuver and Swalmen. She has never been heard from again and her whereabouts remain unknown. Foul play is suspected in her case.
