A photo of a teenager who went missing more than half a century ago has been 'aged' by police to show what she would look like today.
Tina Whittamore was just 15 when she went for a walk in Luton, Bedfordshire, on May 31, 1971, and never came back.
The grainy black and white image, released today to mark the 53rd anniversary of her last confirmed sighting, is based on a photo of her taken shortly before she disappeared.
She is believed to have been in other locations since then, including London in the 1990s, but the trail has gone cold.
Detective Sergeant James Morgan, of Bedfordshire Police, said: 'We realise this is a case from many years ago but we never give up trying to find people reported as missing.
