Police chief reports numerous tips received since Impact Team report on cold case murder
''COVINGTON, Tenn. (WMC) - Video obtained exclusively by the Action News 5 Impact Team has led to tips in a Covington cold case murder.

''The video shows a man walking in the area where a Covington convenience store owner and father of three was gunned down three years ago.
Investigators said he’s a person of interest in the murder of Adel Elrafei, who was killed on Christmas Day, 2022, inside the Bull Market on Highway 51.
At first, investigators believed the motive was robbery. But the chief says that’s no longer the case''.
“We think it’s someone he was not scared of, was not startled from. It’s somebody who may have frequented the store,” Chief Turner said. “We know that somebody was going up and down Highway 51 on Christmas Day in 2022, and the video indicates that they may have waved at our suspect. So, it’s somebody who saw somebody walking. That’s going to stand out walking in the snow.”
Elrafei was an Egyptian immigrant.''
