ROANE COUNTY, T.N. -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol is looking to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of a Lancaster County man whose body was found on the side of the interstate on Christmas Day.
THP says the body of 42-year-old Brian William Taylor, of Heath Springs, South Carolina, was found on the side of Interstate 40 in Roane County, Tennessee, on Christmas morning.
Around 2:30, troopers received a call that a body was spotted near mile marker 364 on the eastbound side of the interstate.
The preliminary investigation concludes that Taylor either jumped or fell from a moving vehicle, and was then struck by at least one other car.
Investigators are looking at all possible scenarios, including foul play.
