ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WZTV) — Police in East Tennessee are investigating a mother's claims that her 10-year-old daughter was attacked and beaten for hours by teenagers.

Brittany O'Connell posted to Facebook heart-wrenching pictures of her little girl, Callie, beaten and bruised.

"I opened the door to my worst nightmare," the devastated mother wrote.

Photos show Callie's eyes swollen, her Rugrats T-shirt stained in blood, her back and wrists scarred with red marks."

UGH, I just saw the whole article. And sadly, it wasn't a ring camera---it was the mother of the girls who assaulted the 10 yr old, taking videos and posting them online...

My apple was and still is some peace keeper.

They'd have an arrest. It'd be me. The tree.

Who does that? They set her up? Sprayed bleach on her? We know we have mean, mean girls out there. A mother? Present? Recording it?

Violence begets violence. I'd hand somebody a camera and tell them "tape this" when I got to that lady's door. Just so I could conversation with her.

Why are people so cruel? It makes me ill.
