I can't sleep and I am sick to my stomach. Another child found dead, 2 in one week, what the he!! is this world coming to. I get sick when I hear (again) the injuries suffered by Chris and Channon and my heart breaks to see Gary Christian rocking back and forth in his seat. Sometimes I wonder why I read these things, because they make me so physically ill, so utterly devastated and afraid for my children and the future.
Anyway as I was sitting here unable to sleep I was sleuthing backround info on GuttaSlim (who will heretofore be referred to as "Beast") and his attorneys. I guess I had assumed that his attorneys were court appointed public defenders because that is what happened with Cobbins. Where the bleep would these gang banging thugs like Beast get the cashola for some kind of high powered defense? Both Trant and Eldredge (Heretofore referred to as Thing 1 and Thing 2) have their own firms and specialize in criminal defense. Thing 1 even boasts about his many WINS and I want to barf wondering whether he was able to work to "free" so many obviously guilty people like his new client Beast, people who should pay for the hurt and destruction they imbue forever into the lives of some poor victim and their family, like Beast did forever to the families and friends of Channon and Chris. I am sad for the parents because their pain is palpable; Ms. Deena is a steel magnolia, for sure, because she demonstrated strength and poise in the midst of the most hellish of circumstances. If I were in her shoes, I'd probably be locked in a padded room by now.
Anyway, I am addicted to WS but reading here is just making me so sad, so I wonder if it is better to NOT know about what is going on in this sick, sad world. I won't be able to listen to Thing 1 and Thing 2 tomorrow, so I won't be here. I do hope and pray that the ME schools them the way she totally smacked down Green in the Cobbins trial.

Mama-cita, I hear you! Beast needs to suffer the same way these two kids suffered. I can't believe that he's just sitting there looking like a church deacon after what he has done. Of course, he has NO conscience.

I can totally understand why the new assistant fainted. After reading about the testimony, I wanted to faint, and I'm not even there!

Hopefully, I will be able to watch and post this morning. I'm not supposed to have the babies, but I think I have the flu, so I'm not really "with it." But, I'm going to try.

Good morning everyone. I'm not sure what time trial is scheduled to start today. Will they start late because it's a Saturday and they'll only work a half day? IDK.

Mama-Cita, I understand where you are coming from. It's necessary to take breaks from time to time when following cases at WS. Everyday we hear the worst of the worst. I worried about the jury all night as I know most of them have never been exposed to anything like this. We have just by being at WS and it still affected us greatly.

Tezi, I hope you feel better soon! I think I'm a little more with it today than I was yesterday.

Eldridge, the picture shown when attorney fainted was one they previously objected to be shown.

Complaining about jury witnessing events yesterday....moving for mistrial. Jury has been tainted.

Pros objects to mistrial. Says events were handled properly. She's there today and fine, should show jury all is well. Should negate the need for mistrial six days into trial

Judge saying attorney never fainted, became faint. No record or evidence that the picture or testimony caused this. The jury needs to view evidence. It should go through the deliberation process. Jury decides evidence value. No mistrial.

Judge says he sees no impact on jury. Says if defense wants he can poll the jury about it. Judge advises to just go on and don't mention the incident.
