Human Remains Discovered in Tennessee

Two coon hunters made a grizzly discovery early Sunday morning when they stumbled across human remains in a remote wooded area southwest of Crossville.

Leslie Cooper believes the body belongs to her fiancé, Mike Fisher. They shared a home about a mile away from the area where the body was found.

"We have an idea of who it might be but we will wait for completion of the autopsy before we release the person's identity," Cox said.


They would only say they believe the man is in his late 20s or early 30s.

The decedent was tentatively identified as Mike Fisher, though a final ruling from a ME or Forensic Odontologist is still pending.

Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have identified the remains found in Cumberland County on Monday.

According to officials, Michael Fisher was found in the wooded area. There was no sign of foul play
