Treacherous area being searched for missing Dr. from Cookeville
[...]

“This area in which his truck was found is very treacherous, there are lots of caves,” said District Attorney Bryant Dunaway.

“Upon arrival, it was clearly determined that communication, including cell service and the terrain itself, was going to be a challenging obstacle,” said Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris.

A helicopter is being used in the search, and more than 100 volunteers have scoured the area. The community’s help is also being asked for, either by providing information, or coming out and joining the teams in this search.

[...]

They're also asking if you have trail or hunting cameras in the area between Puncheon Creek Lane and Copeland Cove Roads to look at it for any signs of Dr. Smith. So far, there have not been any credible sightings of him and they are still processing his truck as they search for more leads.

Foul play is not suspected.

Officials said they will not stop this search until they find him.
