Not sure if this is the right thread, but I'm posting this here. Old school mate finally had enough and pulled the trigger, terrible because he was a very polite sweet guy in school.

HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. - UPDATE 8/22, 10:08 p.m.

The trial is over for a Greeneville, Tennesseeman accused of killing his father.

A Hawkins County jury convicted Ethan Self in the first degree murder of his father, Greenville Police officer, Roger Self. Several members of the Greeneville Police Department were in the courtroom when the verdict came down.

DV is a terrible burden for the victims , it's carried with them where ever they go.

Self was sentenced to life in prison by trial Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood. He must serve at least 51 years. Self’s release date is set for October 2069 by the Tennessee Department of Correction.
