Hi there all,

I've never posted on here and am not sure if I'm using the site correctly, so I hope this somehow gets out there. I recently saw a very detailed video on YouTube regarding a the unexpected death of a man named Johnny Cashman Jr. I was horrified to hear about this case as it's clear there was a murder here and a prime suspect that has not been held accountable. This poor man clearly suffered as is evident in his pleas for help that can be heard in surveillance footage from right outside his apartment.
The YouTuber that made the detailed account of events is very dedicated to the work they do in making sure they provide the most accurate details possible. I'm attaching the video link here in hopes that the case gets more publicity. I urge everyone to watch the video below, as well as all his other videos, as they're also cases that need attention; the creator takes extra precaution to warn you before there is any graphic content shown, for those who wish to skip those parts.

Mysterymisfits, I watch all of Arrin Stoner's videos: He always does such a great job -very detailed as you mentioned.

This was awful to watch, and I hope there will be some action on his case soon. If I recall, LE knows who the man in the video is and actually has spoken to him. Hard to believe nothing has come of it so far.

Thanks for starting the thread here and thanks to Laughing for getting it going as well! Maybe we can help get some late justice for this poor man.

Woah. Honestly, I’m not sure what to think. I’ve seen things like this when working in prisons/jails. Most often not due to foul play and usually with inmates with psychiatric conditions (some severe, others not). If the medical examiner noted no signs of trauma (I’m guessing gunshot wounds, stab wounds etc), a medical crisis doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility to me. Most of the bloody mess was located in the restroom, in͏ and around the toilet.

The recording provided by the neighbor of the back and forth “what are doing”, “stop it”, could be anything.

Although the man seen leaving his apartment (who apparently lived with or had lived with Johnny) before the cries for help should have had some explaining to do. I’m most curious about what he had to say. I can understand his families devastation after walking into his apartment. And then trusting LE enough to cremate his body without question. Very sad.

I only recently found Arrin's videos, the algorithm finally brought me there, and I couldn't believe the amount of time and effort he points into every case. When I saw this case wasn't being discussed on here, I figured I should make a post and see if anyone knows any more information on this case. I know they identified the man in the photo, but I wasn't aware that they spoke with him. Such a strange case.

The fact that they cremated the body is indeed so sad. It always seems like an autopsy is never a bad idea in most cases; if there's a smidge of doubt, I'd probably ask for one. I can't imagine what it must have been like to walk into your significant other's apartment after being told they died quickly and with little to no pain, only to all that blood and apparent struggle. It's absolutely heartbreaking.

From what I read I guess the man in question had been living with Johnny for several days prior to the incident, but there's no mention as to how they met or how that arrangement came to be. Definitely a case I'll be watching every day, along with the Elizabeth Barraza case.

I just noticed the title of the thread. This death took place in Lynchburg, Virginia, not Tennessee. The witness was however from TN. FWIW. The documents are at this link:
