Murfreesboro police search for missing woman who made statements to her family about being assaulted | WKRN News 2

Police are searching for a missing Murfreesboro woman.

22-year-old Kaitlin Ervin was reported missing on August 7, 2021.

Since then, Kaitlin has communicated with her family through Facebook and made statements that she had been assaulted.

She was last believed to be in North Nashville and has been added to the National Crime Information Center as a missing and endangered person.

22-year-old Kaitlin Ervin was reported missing on August 7, 2021. She has since communicated with family via Facebook and made statements that she had been assaulted.

There are some much rougher photos on FB. I can't tell what she looks like now, they say shaved head/short hair. Her booking photo is fairly scary. Maybe she is wearing a wig now. I'm not sure if I can post the FB page as it is a missing person site?

I'm confused, what is going on with this case? Was she arrested recently? Did she lose her hair or shave her head?

I see Murfreesboro, Smyrna, and LaVergne all given for her. All of these places are in Rutherford county, but still. Rutherford is a fairly large county.

North Nashville is just part of Nashville which is Davidson county. You have to cross the Cumberland river to get to it. Coming from Rutherford county a person would be in the southern part of Davidson county.

North Nashville has a lot of variety... Just about any kind of dwelling is there including housing projects. There are also a lot of old houses, some restored and some not. Unless things have changed, this is a place most people get around by driving.

However, one of those links says she might be in Sardis, Mississippi. So... ?

It doesn't mention her having a car, but she can't get to some of these places without one. It is possible she could use the bus. Or multiple buses.

So, who is she with? Her assailant or a friend?

Also she went missing another time in 2020. TBI was involved. She left with some men is what I saw although I didn't look any further. Hopefully she didn't leave with the wrong one.
