Information needed on missing man

Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in locating a missing person, Kevin R. Sharp, 69, of Eagleville.

Sharp is a 6-foot tall, 190 pound white man with white hair.

He was last seen Saturday, May 4, at his residence.

His vehicle, a black 2021 Subaru Outback, was found in Putnam County by a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper the following day.

Circumstances of Disappearance

Kevin Sharp was last seen on 05/04/2024 at his residence in the evening. He was not located in the morning of 05/05/2024 amd his vehicle (2021 Subaru Outback) was not in the driveway.

Many personal items were still left at the residence ie: wallet with driver's license and credit cards.

Kevin's vehicle was located unattended on Interstate 40 east bound at mile marker 292.8; approximately 95 miles from Eagleville (Putnam County) by the Tennessee Hwy Patrol.

Remains found by hikers on March 29th in Putnam County near Monterey have been identified as Kevin Sharp. The key fob to his abandoned vehicle were found with the remains. No other details have been released including if foul play is suspected.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, a group of hikers found skeletal remains between Highway 70 and Interstate 40, near Monterey, on March 29.

The medical examiner determined the remains were those of Kevin Sharp, who went missing from his home on May 4, 2024, authorities said.
