The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
On 05/16/20 a hiker and his wife were hiking the Gentry Creek Falls area trails in the Cherokee National Forest, Laurel Bloomery, TN. They came upon partial skeletal remains (calvarium only), which were identified as human. They left the area and called 911. Johnson County Sheriff's Office documented location, photographed skull and collected it to bring to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center at the instruction of the county medical examiner.
