UPDATE: Soddy Daisy woman dies after man admits to setting her on fire inside camper

Angela Michelle Palacio passed away from severe burns after being intentionally set on fire in a camper on Eldridge Road in Soddy Daisy. Christopher Alan Medula was arrested for the crime. Stay tuned for more updates on this tragic incident.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says Angela Michelle Palacio passed away from her injuries after being flown to a Nashville hospital with third-degree burns.

This all stems from an incident Tuesday afternoon in the 1800 block of Eldridge Road in Soddy Daisy, where investigators say 39-year-old Christopher Alan Medula doused Palacio in gasoline and used a cigarette lighter to set her on fire inside a camper.
