Robbers-turned-killers in Nashville are preying upon victims in early morning hours, police say

Two men sought for questioning in a series of killings, robberies and attempted robberies this month in Tennessee's capital city were in custody Monday evening, police said.

Demontrey Logsdon, 20, of Nashville was found at a home in the North Nashville neighborhood, according to a department media release. He had been convicted of robbery in November and received a five-year probated sentence.

Lacory Lytle, 24, who was convicted of felony aggravated assault in May and received a five-year probated sentence, turned himself in a few hours later. Both men were identified for questioning in the homicides because of surveillance images, recovered physical evidence and officers' observations but have not been charged, authorities said.

Police said Lytle used the stolen credit card of one of the surviving robbery victims at Cobra at a grocery store and arrested him on charges of theft.​

Nashville police identify 2 men being questioned in multiple slayings

Lytle and Logsdon were "identified in the present investigations as persons who need to be questioned based on certain surveillance images, recovered physical evidence and observations by MNPD officers," officials said Monday.

The major break in the investigation came just hours after police confirmed to ABC News that detectives investigating a car robbery that occurred on Aug. 12 believe it is connected to the deadly crime wave.​

This one hits really close to home! Nashville is my hometown and none of these areas are what I would consider dangerous high crime areas.

Good to hear they've made arrests. I wondered about the lack of dreadlocks, too, but it's possible the suspect who had them cut them off as soon as he saw that information in the news. Wouldn't be hard to do.

In a way, it's sad that these two men began a life of very violent crime at such a young age.

Men connected to Nashville murders expected in court

Nashville police recover vehicle believed to be used in double homicide at The Cobra bar

As detectives continue to follow leads in a series of fatal shootings in East Nashville and Madison, officers have recovered a vehicle they believe may have been used in the Friday morning double homicide outside The Cobra bar.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers on Monday evening recovered a Chevrolet Cruze in the 500 block of 17th Avenue North, a couple of blocks north of Charlotte Avenue.

The car had been reported stolen from Clarksville, and detectives believe it may have been used by suspects in the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Bartley Brandon Teal and 30-year-old Jaime Sarrantonio early Friday morning outside the Gallatin Avenue bar.

One of the suspects has been charged for participating in aggravated kidnapping in an earlier Clarksville auto theft

After Logsdon was taken into custody on Monday, police announced he had been charged with aggravated kidnapping for allegedly accompanying Horace Williamson III on Friday as Williamson forced his girlfriend to go with him at gunpoint while the woman tried to get away.

First suspect found guilty of all counts in The Cobra bar murders

Horace Williamson was the alleged accomplice to Demontrey Logsdon during the August 2018 shootings.

Horace Williamson was found guilty Tuesday on all counts in connection with the double-murder outside The Cobra bar in August 2018.

The jury convicted Williamson on 13 charges, which included two counts of first-degree felony murder and two counts of first-degree premeditated murder.
