Endangered child alert: 3-year-old last seen near Lafayette, TN

The Macon County Sheriff tells News 2 the pair disappeared after being notified of a Court Order to place Nathaniel into the custody of the Department of Children’s Services.

Authorities say the pair may be traveling in a silver 2013 Kia Forte with Tennessee License tag T96 86S.

Nathaniel is a white male, 2’6″ tall, weighs 30 lbs., with brown eyes and brown hair. Nathaniel was last seen with his mother August 3, 2017 when she was notified of a Court Order to place him into DCS custody.

The TBI has said a missing 3-year-old from Macon County has been found safe.


Nathaniel Brown was found in Minnesota, according to the TBI. He was last seen with his mother on Aug. 3, 2017.
