Police asking for help with finding missing Jonesborough man

Authorities are asking for your help with finding a Jonesborough man who has been missing since June 2.

According to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal, 33-year-old Nicholas Rios Todd remains missing. Investigators are "very concerned about Todd's welfare due to the circumstances surrounding his disappearance."

Investigators said that Todd left a family member's residence on Pecan Wood Drive in Jonesborough the morning of June 2. He never showed up for his work shift in Greeneville later that morning.

Todd is 5-foot-8 and weighs around 150 pounds. He was last seen driving a light gold 2007 Hyundai Sonata and was believed to be traveling on Highway 11E toward Greeneville. The Tennessee license plate number is 9J7-6X1. Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.

Authorities released new information Friday about a missing Jonesborough man.

Nicholas Rios Todd, 33 of Jonesborough, has been missing since June 2.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says Todd left a family member’s home on Pecan Wood Drive around 9:45 a.m. and a surveillance camera captured his vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 11E in Limestone near the Washington County-Greene County line around 9:54 a.m. on the day he went missing.

The sheriff’s office says he was supposed to be at work in Greeneville at 11 a.m. but he never showed up.

LE have conducted extensive searches along Highway 11E, and as of this date, no evidence relating to the disappearance has been found.

They have also closely monitored Todd’s bank account and phone activity and there has been no activity since the date of his disappearance.

Authorities seek help from the public in locating a Jonesborough man last seen on June 2 on U.S. 11E in Greene County near the Washington County line.

Nicholas Rios Todd, 33, was at a family member’s home about 9:45 a.m. on June 2 on Pecan Wood Drive in Jonesborough, Sheriff Ed Graybeal said in a news release.

At 9:54 a.m. on June 2, surveillance camera footage shows Todd’s westbound Hyundai Sonata sedan on U.S. 11E in Limestone near the Washington/Greene county line.


That surveillance footage is the last visible evidence of Todd, who was supposed to be at work in Greeneville at 11 a.m. that morning but never arrived.

Authorities confirm body of missing Jonesborough man discovered in Unicoi County

BODY FOUND IN UNICOI COUNTY CRASH IDENTIFIED AS MISSING JONESBOROUGH MAN
According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, the body of a man involved in a vehicle crash on Spivey Mountain Road in Unicoi County has been positively identified as Nicholas Rios Todd of Jonesborough. On the evening of June 28th Washington County Investigators responded to Spivey Mountain Road after being advised by the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office that a vehicle matching the description of Todd’s had been located. Officers from Washington County, Unicoi County, The Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were all on scene and confirmed the vehicle to be that of Nicholas Todd. Human remains from inside the vehicle were sent to the James Quillen College of Medicine for autopsy and were later identified as the body of Nicholas Todd.
