Police in Bristol, VA search for possible missing man in landfill
A report of screams and unattended items near a dumpster in Bristol, Tennessee prompted an hours-long search for a man Wednesday morning.
Those screams reportedly came from the parking lot of the thrift shop of the Salvation Army on West State Street in Bristol.
News Channel 11's Justin Soto found out the search for this man then crossed statelines.
Police then went to Bristol, Virginia's landfill because that's where that dumpster trash was dropped off.
After a 2-hour search for a man known to frequent the thrift store dumpster - police said they didn't find anything or anyone.
Tim Parker, employee at the Bristol Salvation Army, said he and others noticed the lid was torn and that's never happened before.
