This story breaks my heart..... Prayers to this family and others...
CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -- As flood waters recede in Carroll County, reality is beginning to set in for Craig and Bridgett Crawford that life will never be the same.
The couple is heartbroken over the loss of their 2-year-old son Slade.
“I told Slade it would be all right and that I loved him and we’d make it, but we didn't,” said Craig Crawford.
Craig Crawford said he tried to hold onto Slade, but the water was so powerful that it carried Slade downstream where rescuers later found his body.
“I just feel like I could have done better … but it was just so hard,” said Craig Crawford.
