Toledo police arrested six people for allegedly kidnapping and beating a victim while holding him against his will for days.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Six people in Lucas County were arrested early Saturday morning on kidnapping and assault charges.

Aaron Bradshaw, 49, Austin Bradshaw, 23, Michael Esqueda, 28, Martina Jones, 28, David Cessna, 26, and Chance Johnston, 27, were charged for allegedly assaulting and holding someone against their will for several days.

According to documents WTOL 11 received from Toledo police, the incident started around March 14 and lasted for approximately a week. The documents allege the victim was held against his will and was violently threatened by the defendants.

The victim was beaten with a baseball bat, made to stand for extended periods of time, was only allowed to eat and drink once a day, and only slept for 10 hours during a seven day stretch, police said.

Police told 13 Action News that Martina Jones was the one calling the shots in the kidnapping and assault -- ordering the group to beat the victim.

Charging documents said the group held a 26-year-old man captive for about a week. During that time, they allegedly beat him with a baseball bat, made him stand for extended periods of time, and only allowed him to eat and drink once a day. The victim only slept for about 10 hours during a seven day stretch.
