The Christmas Parade of Boats along the Seneca River is billed as a visual feast of twinkling lights and holiday family fun.
One visual that organizer Patti White was not expecting during the Sept. 18 fund-raiser for charity was a topless woman with a strand of Christmas lights spanking a man on his bare butt.
"We've been doing it for 10 years now, and of all the things I've tried to ensure against . . . making sure there's no debris in the water, making sure everything is really safe," White said, "it never in my wildest dreams occurred to me that I would have to make sure that people didn't go dancing nude . . . in a kids' parade."
