12/16/24 Update: The jury selection for Boswell was postponed on Monday. The jury selection process had initially been set to begin on Monday after the questionnaires for potential jurors were finalized in late November. However, the selection was delayed until 2/3/25 when trial begins @ 8:30am.

*Trial continues (Day 9) (@ 9am PT) – CA – *Madalyn (Maddie) Payton Slater (1) (thrown off steep cliff into ravine, May 6, 2020, Palm Desert, Coachella Valley) - *Adam Slater (49/now 53) “father” arrested (5/7/20) , charged (5/8/20), recharged (5/11/20) & arraigned (5/12/20) with 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder, 1st degree attempted murder, child custody kidnapping, assault on a child under 8 years old resulting in death, assault with a deadly weapon, obstruction, resisting arrest & prior felony conviction. Plead not guilty. $1M bond. Held (5/12/20) with no bond. Riverside County
Allegedly tossed his 1 year old daughter off a “steep cliff” to her death after he stabbed the child’s mom before fleeing with the child. Thirty minutes later, investigators said, Slater's car went off Highway 74 & overturned before coming to a stop hundreds of feet from the road & then stabbed a bystander who tried to help.

Plead not guilty. $1M bond. Held (5/12/20) with no bond. Riverside County
Allegedly tossed his 1 year old daughter off a “steep cliff” to her death after he stabbed the child’s mom before fleeing with the child. Thirty minutes later, investigators said, Slater's car went off Highway 74 & overturned before coming to a stop hundreds of feet from the road & then stabbed a bystander who tried to help.

2/19/25 Update : State Attorney Larry Basford announced today that Adams has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child. Holmes County Circuit Court Judge Russell Roberts handed down the sentence after considering testimony, arguments from both sides & mitigating circumstances in what he described as a “fair & appropriate sentence in this tragic case.” Adams, 25, testified & accepted responsibility for what happened, saying she is haunted by her actions that day & the loss of her child. She asked for leniency. Her attorney also talked about her remorse & cooperation & asked for a 15-year sentence.
Christopher Martin McLean (32/now 34) – Plead Nolo-Contendere (guilty). Sentenced to 27 years in prison.

12/9/24 Update: Morales’ murder trial has been set for jury selection on 2/24/25 at Milford Superior Court with the trial beginning 3/18/25.
2/18/25 Update: Hearing held. Edward Gavin, a lawyer representing Morales, asked Judge Shari Murphy to suppress any evidence seized from Morales' two cellphones & clothing, which they seized after Morales spoke with investigators hours after Holloway was found beaten to death inside her Myrtle Avenue home Dec. 2, 2019. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, police used information from the phone to pinpoint Morales' location in the hours after the killing & also found Holloway's DNA on "tissue-like material" they found on the shoes they took from him. In court, Gavin introduced a dozen search warrants obtained by police after they discovered Holloway's body, noting they didn't obtain search warrants for the cellphones until Dec. 4, 2019 & didn't get a warrant for his clothes until Dec. 6, 2019.
