Trial for former Miss Donalsonville accused of killing a child expected this year

The incident was in Jan. of 2024. At the time, a coroner said that the child died from blunt force trauma. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was called to investigate the case.

Latecomer to this case, but help me out here. Who cares if she is a small town pageant winner? How is this relevant in any way? This is just a random young woman who is facing terrible charges.
