LOS ANGELES - Don Herbert, who as television's "Mr. Wizard" introduced generations of young viewers to the joys of science, died Tuesday. He was 89. Herbert, who had bone cancer, died at his suburban Bell Canyon home, said his son-in-law, Tom Nikosey.

May he rest in peace. I watched Mr. Wizard many years ago when in elementary school. He actually made me like science. :)

I hated his show, didn't it used to come on Nickelodeon? Still, sad to hear of his death. Shows like his don't come on anymore. I have a 10 year old who loves science, she would have liked the show.
