Alisa Gates, 10, is fighting for her life after she was shot in the backseat of her parents’ van during a road rage incident while on her way to school in San Antonio on Jan. 30. She was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after the shooting.

The child, Alisa Gates, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was shot through the side of her family’s car in San Antonio on Friday, Jan. 30, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The San Antonio Police Department announced 41-year-old Bryan Arceo was taken into custody on Jan. 30 and charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of endangering a child.

KTSA reports that as of Feb. 2, Alisa Gates is recovering and beginning to walk again.

According to KENS, Arceo’s bonds total $375,000.
