The skeletal remains of likely a Black female were found on Nov. 4, 2019, in northeast Austin. She is petite, up to 5'4" tall, and at least 25 or so years old. Hair appeared to be in a short afro style. She has severe joint disease and distinctive dentition. No clothing was found on the body. Cause of death is unknown/undetermined. NamUs #UP61571

Circumstances of Recovery - Homeowner found skeletal remains behind residence in wooded area. 2 searches were done to collect remains as a very dense area. Additional remains were found. Mostly complete skeletal remains were found to include the skull.
