On Saturday, 11-10-1984, 6 year old Bradley Gilbert was reported missing from Chillicothe, Texas. Bradley had been playing with his 3 year old brother outside a residence. Witnesses had reported a small dirty car with a male occupant near the abduction site. Chillicothe had a population of less than 1,000 and is located on U.S. 287. On Sunday, 03-31-1985, Bradley's body was discovered approximately 16 miles away, in a slough, located north of Vernon, Texas. Bradley suffered an incised wound.
