Brian Nesbit, 52, was last seen at around 1 p.m. on Sept. 8, in his bluish-purple and silver Ford F-250 pickup with Texas license FYP6533, pulling out of the driveway of his home near Flat in rural Coryell County. He left his cellphone and wallet behind.

Nesbit is 6-feet tall, weighs 237 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. Nesbit had suffered from PTSD and had a potential of hurting himself.

Missing Central Texas man seems to have ‘vanished into thin air’

From the above article:

Witt says Nesbit vanished on September 7, and the only communication they had was via someone else's cell phone without revealing where he went.

Whose cell phone? Someone he was with or a random citizen who allowed him to use their phone when he realized he didn't have his?

What was said when he called?

At first I thought suicide, but it would be odd to make a "last call to your girlfriend" using a stranger's phone, while they would likely be standing next to him or at least nearby, yes?

Odd his truck hasn't shown up too.

Truck, human remains found in search for missing Central Texas man

Coryell County authorities found skeletal human remains Tuesday in the same area where ranchers discovered a pickup truck belonging to a man who’s been missing for nearly three months.

[...]

His truck was found on Thanksgiving Day in a heavily wooded area toward the eastern section of County Road 342, the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release Tuesday afternoon.

With permission from the landowners, authorities returned to the area Tuesday with a team of special K-9 detection dogs.

“During the mid-morning, skeletal remains were located in the wooded area about 200 yards north-northwest from the location where the vehicle was located,” the press release said.

“At this time no positive identification can be made,” the press release said.

Investigators are hoping an autopsy will provide not only confirmation of the identity of the remains, but also some indication of the cause of death.
