It’s been nearly 48 hours since loved ones have heard from Brianna Morgan Gilbert of Amarillo, and Randall County Sheriff’s investigators are concerned about her safety.

Gilbert disappeared on the evening of Tuesday, March 30, during a break on her shift at Plains Dairy (300 N. Taylor). Video surveillance shows Gilbert walking to the Plains Dairy Parking lot just before 8 p.m. that night, and coworkers may have seen her talking with a Hispanic male in the parking lot around the same time.

Approximately 20 minutes later, Brianna’s significant other received a text from Brianna’s phone which read, “I love you,” but Brianna did not respond to further texts that evening. When her significant other arrived to pick Brianna up at the end of her shift that night, Brianna was not there. Plains Dairy staff members said they had not seen Brianna since around 8 p.m.

Brianna was scheduled to work a shift which began at Noon today, Friday, April 1, but she did not show up. Her supervisors say Brianna has always arrived at work on time. Both Brianna’s significant other and her mother, who drove into town from Oklahoma to search for her daughter, say it is uncharacteristic of Brianna to disappear without a word.

Brianna is 22 years old. She has brown hair and blue eyes and weighs approximately 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark-colored poncho.

Randall County Sheriff Chris Forbis is asking anyone with information about Brianna or who has seen Brianna to call Sergeant Byron Towndrow at 468-5858.

Randall County officials looking for missing 22-year-old woman

What could have happened to Brianna? Who was the man that she was talking to at the parking lot? A friend, a stranger? Why would Brianna sent a text to her significant other saying "I love you" 20 minutes later? And also, she didn't show up to her today's shift, which is very unusual.

I don't like the sound of this.

It sounds like maybe she was called to the car for anything. it does sound strange. I wonder if there is a pic of her talking to anyone in the restaurant before she went missing. I am sure they would have looked at that.

I don't think this is a restaurant she worked at, it sounds like it's a dairy processing facility.

About Us

Im local so I can answer some of the questions.

Plains is a dairy, located in downtown Amarillo. Rough neighborhood, and is located at the base of of overpass, with trains that run next to it. I know people who work there, and at 8pm, it would have been a skeleton night crew. So not many people there.

“Coworkers may have seen her talking with an Hispanic male in the parking lot.”

It’s a very ambiguous statement. Did coworkers tell the police that they saw her talking in the parking lot with a Hispanic male? Or did someone tell police that coworkers told them?

Does “may have” mean that coworkers were unsure if it was her that they saw or does it mean that they were unsure if the other person was hispanic or male?

Cell phone pings from her phone and the boyfriends phone would be would be very helpful.

MOO

I am not sure how much I can say, other than I hope she is not running away from trouble.
She pled guilty to a misdemeanor property theft charge late last year, fine and probation for 12 months. Looks like she might not be conforming to the terms ...
Not sure what that last entry means- Tyler Odyssey Portal

She sent her boyfriend a text message at approx. 20.00hrs saying "I love you".
Was it usual that she would send little love messages to him during her breaks? Or is that completely out of character?
Not necessarily a boyfriend. They said S.O.

Well 22 is far too young to be complicating her life and potentially sacrificing her freedom for theft.

Why didn't any of her co-workers report Brianna missing when she didn't return from her break? Surely they must of thought it odd that she hadn't gone back into work, did no-one think to go out and look for her?

I think that's highly dependent on workplace and even job title. When I worked at a grocery store they would look for you by Minute 17 of a 15 minute break. If there's a specific duty you have to perform, they will know if you haven't returned.

On the other my current workplace is highly protective of time and I got called a "timekeeper" repeatedly when I first started. It was funny, then, in recent times, someone might ask, "Hey so you know where X is?" And I'd be like "no, I got so much heat before that I've stopped noticing."

Anyway, if she was at a desk, she could have left and I could see co-workers not being alarmed. If it was a job on the floor, then someone should have noticed.

What is an "S.O." other than a boyfriend? Okay, "longterm boyfriend, cohabiting without benefit of marriage."

I think many people use those terms interchangeably.\

I do not have a good feeling about this one.
