I wonder why she didn't call 911 when she was in the back of her bf's truck. If she was able to text her friend multiple times, was there a way she could've called or texted the police? Does 911 even have a text service? They should...
Sounds like the driver Cavanna begged for help didn't even bother to call 911. Just drove away. Makes me sick.

“During the course of the argument, he observed the male shoot the female once, where she immediately collapsed,” the complaint states.”The male stood there for a moment before getting into the driver’s seat of the truck and leaving the location.”
A short time earlier, Smith attempted to flag down a passing truck driver for help, pleading with him to call 911. But the driver drove away after seeing Boyd holding a rifle, according to the complaint.

I have a sick feeling she bought the gun that killed her, CTV shows them both in the gun store buying gun and ammunition, I hope I am wrong
I don't think so. In that article I linked above, it states they found the receipt for the gun and ammo in Boyd's house:
"Inside Boyd’s nightstand, investigators discovered a receipt from Academy Sports + Outdoors showing a Sept. 15 purchase of a Taurus GC2 9mm handgun, as well as 9mm and rifle ammunition matching the ammunition found at the crime scene."
it said the receipt was in his home, but CCTV from the store has both of them their when gun was purchased, and she was after him for money he owed her, so I wonder if he had the money to buy a gun or ammunition or whether she bought it,
I don't know, but whether or not she provided the money for her own murder weapon, she's no less of a victim.
Plenty of greedy people refuse to pay people back despite having the funds.
