Thanks for the update, this guy is totally whacked, definitely have to keep an eye on real estate rapes and murders right across the country!
Wondering what his thing is about real estate agents, did he start with one and kept it up because it became his tried and true "routine'' , or is there some very specific reason he has allegedly targeted them ( and their children too, yikes) !?
speculation. imo.

i feel like it was sort of opportunity, realtors keep social media and appear approachable because they are selling homes and properties. when showing homes, they can be vulnerable too.

*Plea Negotiations Conference Hearing (both murders) (@ 9am CT) - TX – Cynthia Joann Palacio (21) (July 15, 2003, Lubbock, found on side of rural road strangled) - *Andy Castillo (40 @ time of crime/57) arrested & charged (9/4/20), indicted (12/1/20) & arraigned (12/4/20) with 1st degree capital murder (multiple), 1 count of stalking & 2 counts of criminal solicitation-aggravated sexual assault of a child. $500K bond. Lubbock County

Castillo was arrested & jailed in January, 2020 on charges of cyberstalking real estate agents in the Waco area with lewd messages & threats to rape their children. In McLennan County Jail in Waco. Authorities said they believe Castillo cyberstalked other real estate agents in 20 cities & 10 states. After the arrest, deputies took DNA from Castillo with his consent. That DNA matched DNA taken from the Palacios crime scene. The case had been linked to the April 19, 2004 killing of 21-year-old Linda Trevino Carbajal, but that case remains under investigation. Carbajal was found strangled & with blunt force injuries on a rural road in northern Lubbock County.'' Palacio & Carbajal were roommates, born in the same month of the same year, both 21 when they died, and both dumped on remote county roads.

*TX – Linda Trevino Carbajal (21) (April 19, 2004, Lubbock, was found along a dirt road in northern Lubbock County near New Deal) - *Andy Castillo (41 @ time of crime/57) indicted & charged (12/1/20) & arraigned (12/4/20) with 1st degree capital murder (multiple). Lubbock County

In January in connection with the harassment of some Waco-area real estate agents who said they were receiving lewd messages from someone threatening to rape their children. The McLennan County Sheriff said this case could span across 22 states. The latest list shows Amarillo, El Paso, Lubbock, San Antonio & Waco in Texas. Also on the list is: Tucson, AZ; Anaheim, Berkley, Irvine, San Jose & Santa Clara, CA; Broward County & Daytona Beach, FL; New Orleans, LA; Reno, NV; Albany & Manhattan, NY; Belfort, SC; Seattle, WA; and Washington, D.C.

Suspect in Cynthia Palacio and Linda Trevino Carbajal murder cases dies

August 30, 2021

A 58-year old man charged with capital murder in the deaths of two women in 2003 and 2004 died Friday after he was taken to a Lubbock hospital, officials said Monday.

According to a news release from the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, Andy Castillo who is charged in connection with the deaths of Cynthia Palacio and Linda Trevino Carbajal, died Friday at University Medical Center.

However, the release did not provide a cause of his death and stated the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating.
