They seems to be certain she was 16?...but she's still unidentified. I suppose the traumatic injuries from the accident made her harder to ID, especially if she didn't have any features that distingished her. But she was 16, so it's sad she still a Jane Doe.

I wonder if she was in the vehicle, or hit by a vehicle. If in the vehicle, it could be useful to know more related details.

Good point. She must have been hit since there was a laundry bag close to the body.

If she was walking to a laundrymatt, then she must have resided in the area. I hope she gets her name back. It's hard to be of much help when the details are so sketchy.

I wonder what makes them so certain she was 16? I hope that not having a range hasn't hampered anything. She should still be compared by LE to missing people from like 13-20. I personally know a 26-year-old who looks about 16. The sentence 'A singular eye received from the scene, brown irides' is chilling. This poor girl, it must have been a hard impact.

These are the only options from namus

Lisa Lambert 14, missing 1979 from Baltimore, AGE is right but she's 5.9 and she doesn't look "black", so I'm not sure they would label her as black if she was the one.
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Berverly Bealer, 19 misisng from California. Height is right, age too. Went missing in 1980 shortly before this. Very little info on her
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Sheila Cook, 19 missing from Austin, TX 1980, age and height is right. Very little info there also.
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Debra Moore, 19 missing from Austin Tx too. 19, No photo on her. She's on 5'0. No info.

Susan Redding, 2o missing from Georgia? 1980. Height is right. Very sketchy
where she was last seen and what date. Guess she'sa decent candidate.

If she was ever reported that is, we know how many missing people that aren't reported or their case file was bothed or gone missing.

Sheila Cooks, listed in the post above, is the only ruleout for this UID. I went ahead and submitted Ms Bealer as a potential match to DoeNetwork. There are no common identifiers (Ms Bealer has dentals, the UID has DNA) so there would have been no auto-ruleout in Namus.

Noting the date of her discovery was November 27, 1980, Thanksgiving Day.

Her remains were located at 45 S Bd @Exit 267Texas, which is as shown on the map below, approximately 20 miles South of Dallas, travelling Southbound on Interstate 45 in Ferris, TX. Ferris is in both Dallas and Ellis counties. Map below:

I have found Nothing on her case in archives, has anyone else? Considering she was discovered on/at exit ramp on Interstate 45, I'm wondering if perhaps highway patrol was in charge on the scene. The contact on her Namus case is listed as Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science, located in Dallas.

This young girl may have been travelling on Thanksgiving Day to visit family and could be from anywhere and is heartbreaking to think so.

Interstate 45 (I-45) is a major interstate highway, 284.91 miles long, located entirely within the U.S. state of Texas. It connects the cities of Dallas and Houston, continuing southeast from Houston to Galveston over the Galveston Causeway to the Gulf of Mexico. Other major national interstates (20, 30, etc) travel through (or around) the Dallas area.

Frank Garcia death notice - Newspapers.com
Doesn't add much but she's mentioned in the round-up of vehicle accidents. Was struck while walking.
It's interesting the paper called her "an unidentified Dallas woman" when the exit where she was struck, 267, is located in Ferris. I doubt the paper would have editorialized and added "Dallas", so I'm thinking that information was given by police.
