I believe this is their listing on Texas DPS:

Case Number: U0709018
Agency: DALLAS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Date Found: 03/10/2002
Estimated Date of Death: Unknown
Cause of Death: Unknown

Race: Unknown
Age: Unknown
Height: Unknown
Eye Color: Unknown

Sex: Unknown
Weight: Unknown
Hair Color: Unknown/Completely Bald

City Found: Dallas
County Found: Dallas
State Found: Texas
Country Found: USA

Description:
Remains found approximately 500 yards from White Rock Creek at 4900 Lawther Drive in Dallas, Texas.

DNA is available.

If they have DNA, I wonder why they were unable to determine the biological sex of this person.
Considering the age of the bones, I wouldn't be surprised if they were only able to get mitochondrial DNA, in which case they would not be able to determine the person's sex. If they had nuclear DNA, then I think the person's sex would be on the listing.

If the two remains in the first post are unrelated it could be William Durrell Patterson and Margaret M Patterson.

The couple was last seen in El Paso, TX in March of 1957 and disappeared under mysterious circumstances. It is thought they were murdered by a business rival named Doyle Kirkland. If you read through their case file there is this this interesting bit:

On March 15, the Pattersons' accountant, Herbert Roth, got a telegram with instructions on how to manage the couple's assets and their business. The telegram was called in to a Western Union office in Dallas from a pay phone near the Love Field Airport. It was signed "W.H. Patterson"; William's initials were "W.D. Patterson."

It'd be about a 20 minute drive from the Love Field Airport to where the skull was found, and another 25 minutes from where the femur and tibia were found.

Some other possibilities:

Avis Beatrice Harris Mooney - MP17085
Missing from Mabank, TX in the fall of 1961. Her exact date of disappearance is unknown. Disappeared after having martial problems with husband who was physically and mentally abusive. Missing from Mabank, TX, which is an hour drive to where UP was found.

Joyce Creola Brewer - MP5879
Missing from Grand Prairie, TX on September 6, 1970. Left home after getting in an argument with parents over being out late. About a 20-25 minute drive to where UP was found. She was 15 when she disappeared so I'm unsure if this would rule her out.

That's an amazing theory, I saw them too. Are they ruled out?

It doesn't seem like it, both William and Margaret have no rule out's on Namus. If this is them I think getting DNA to test against from live relatives may be difficult, as it seems they had no kids.

I submitted them by email to the El Paso Co. Sheriff, and if I don't hear anything I may contact the SW Institute of Forensic Science. It's a long shot, but looks like detectives are revitalizing efforts into looking at their case, so hopefully this will get followed up on.

Margaret and William's websleuths article for reference.
